Dov Elkabas (aka ‘The Prophet’) got his first taste for DJ’ing in 1983 after visiting a roller disco in Amsterdam. After experimenting with disco and hip hop, he first experienced house music in 1988 at an event named ‘Let the Prophet Rise’. He clearly made an impression as the bookings began rolling in after that.
A few years later, the Prophet turned his attention to gabber and hardcore when he played as part of the infamous ‘Dreamteam’ at events such as Thunderdome and Mysteryland where he really put the harder genres of dance on the map.
Over the years he has played for all the major harder styles events including Masters of Hardcore, Hellraiser, Qlimax, DefQon1 and Decibel as well as events all over the world.
More recently, Dov founded the massive Scantraxx Recordz in 2002 which is now one of the most famous hardstyle record labels in Europe. Moving to the present day, The Prophet continues his reign as one of the founding fathers of gabber and hardstyle and is one of the most respected figures within the scene today.
